Long-Steps Ballroom Dancing provide opportunities for people of all ages to exercise, socialise, learn, laugh, and de-stress through dancing.

We offer classes, workshops, socials, and private lessons for all ages, abilities, and experience levels. We are a non-competitive studio focusing on the health and wellbeing aspects of dance in an inclusive environment.

We operate in Glenorchy, Lenah Valley, and the Huon region. We are available for on site visits, and can provide personalised workshops for schools, and businesses, as well as floor shows and inclusive classes for care facilities.

Dancing is known for its numerous health benefits in both the movement and cognitive arenas. Dancing is a low impact activity suitable for older people or those with movement and mobility conditions.

Long-Steps focusses on developing students’ movement and technique in an adaptive way to allow for maximum gain despite any pre-existing medical conditions.

Long-Steps inclusive and social approach to dancing and dance teaching creates a welcoming environment that has helped many local Tasmanians connect and build friendships that have continued to grow outside of class.

Classes and Social Dances are $15 per person, with Private Lessons starting at $35.
